Our story
Bet on Alfa’s story began in Nicosia in 2009, founded by Mr. George Pyrishi, a visionary entrepreneur with experience in the betting industry dating back to 1989. From day one, the company has prioritised reliability, professionalism, and integrity—building long-term trust and a clear operating philosophy: responsible betting, transparency, and consistency.
As Bet on Alfa grew, it strengthened its retail presence in a structured way. In 2015, the company reached a key milestone by launching company-owned stores, enabling tighter control of service quality and a stronger connection with customers. Today, around 50% of the network is company-owned, with the remainder operated by authorised agents—an approach that combines stability, flexibility, and a consistent customer experience across Cyprus.
In parallel, Bet on Alfa accelerated its innovation and digital expansion. A major milestone came in 2018, when it became the first Cypriot company to secure an online betting licence (Class B), reinforcing...
